I did not invite anybody to attack me, and what I said wasn't an argument of mine! You're just an insatiable know-it-all who thinks his opinion is valued on every matter.

I do not appreciate you saying that my ideas are wrong.
I do not appreciate you pointing out my flaws.
I do not appreciate you at all so this is my final post in a thread where you see people's ideals and opinions as you very own oyster to poke critasism at.

Ok people no need to take things personally. If people disagree with or attack your ideas/arguments it doesn't necessarily mean they are attacking you. They could be though.

Ok so how come no-one agrees or disagrees with me about tipping?

I tried to tell mistress this. I also explained the nature of this forum and the fact that I have no personal vendettas against anyone. However she felt it necessary to PM me and tell me to BLEEEEED!

In brief you stated that it is reasonable to assume certain truths from scientific analysis. Scientific models are ussually improved upon in an iterative fashion. This process of taking a simple model and refining it allows one to tend towards an apparent reality. I shall give you an example.

Helioseismology, the study of resonant modes within the Sun is a refinement in our model of what the sun is. It allows us to probe the Sun in ways which, in the past would have been impossible, giving us more insight into the apparent nature of our Sun. At the begginning of the century our knowledge of helioseismology would have been extremely limited to non-existant. Therefore as time has passed our knowledge of this entity has increased. For the most part we build on old models and increase their complexity, adding more detail as we learn more bringing us closer to true comprehension. In this particular case helioseismology represents another rung in the infinite ladder that brings us closer to understanding our own Sun.

What we must realise however is that these iterations can continue for all time and we will still never reach the truth, we will still only have models, albeit them being enormously complex.

Thus I can make the observation that tending towards a truth is not actually "The Truth". The reason I made this point is that you seem to equate truth and a tending towards the truth far too often. I thought I would point out this falsehood.

Facts, not truths. Facts are the realm of the physical world, truths the metaphysical.

Have to agree. Would only add that some theories are discarded if the evidence so warrants.

Replace "truth" with "know every detail" and you'll be closer to my mindset... however with time I think we can know as much as is knowable.

Perhaps differenciating facts from truth may clear things up a bit regarding my lines of thought?

As an aside, thanks for an interesting and intellectually stimulating chat. I enjoy these things.

Briefs are sad
Briefs aren't sexy
Girls hate briefs
The word brief is stupid
Only really sad guys wear briefs over the age of ten
Briefs are known as tighty whiteys because they're laughable

Trust me, there is no benefit from wearing briefs unless you are running from an angry mob. Take it from someone who knows the female reaction to them.

Thanas, reply in any way to my post and I will hunt you down and kill you with squirrels.

I gave up trying to understand mistress. We're not all friends. I find mistress to be rude and insensitive. I tried to PM her and explain that I meant her no offence by debating with her in a debate forum and all I got back was childish remarks. Thats why I blocked her.

Briefs are only useful in limited circumstances. For example, certain exercises become easier with briefs than they are with boxers - for technical reasons

This is not directed at you but the tipping issue itself - yes a rant from me but this is the right place for it. 9/10 places I go to even though they charge a buttload, service often not just isn't good enough it's positively crap. Then the waiter gets the bill and expects a tip. And they frown if you don't give them one.

WTF, I mean WHAT THE HELL! What did the waiter do? They gave me a plate and took my order, whatever it's their job. They are a small part of the chain of people and effort in giving me a complete meal. The cook did hard work in a hot kitchen and that job is far more stressful and tiring than waiting. And I have done both of those jobs so I know. Do I go in the kitchen and tip the cook? Does the waiter share their tips with everyone? (I know some places do this but not most). Should I tip the interior decorator that made such comfortable surroundings, or the farmers for organic farming or the person who made the cutlery? What the hell .

Tipping is something that is optional and there's a minimum wage for a reason. It's there to show off how rich you are and if the waiter did an extra good job. If you feel the owner is abusing the staff or underpaying them take it up with them or boycott that restaurant. There are so many people who work and do a good job for you that you never tip, there are peole who don't get paid enough for what they do. What do you do for them? Tipping is a grotesque phenomenon as it is (+10% +15% whatever) IMHO. There was an episode of "Friends" where I think Ross payed a full tip when the father of his girlfriend paid for the meal. The father was rightly upset and said something like "if you're so rich why don't you pay for the whole meal" or something like that. I totally agreed with that. I do tip sometimes but only if I feel like it (some people do a super job). I'd rather give the tip to the hungry person on the street outside the restaurant. Once I tipped about 5% and my friend added the same amount even though I told him it was on me. Well he never did that again after I explained it. That's a pet peeve of mine.

Ooooh, now I'm really crying

I guess some people you like and get along with, and some you don't. He finds me rude an insensative which is an UNDERSTATEMENT to what I am to him, and I find him arrogant and self opinionated.

On a lighter note, tight boxers are the best. I think there should be more pictures of those on the See who ya play message board.

Oh, and just a note to anyone who thinks I've been acting like a bitch recently... I have. Comin off the injection and first PMS in three years?... you're bound to feel different.

P.s. but I still want to hit Thanas soooo much. That has nothing to do with PMS. Not a sausage...

...MWAAHAHAAAAA!!!

That seems like a fairly reasonable attitude on tipping. I agree that you should only tip when the service is of a very high standard. People should be rewarded for extra work.
